SPANISH

In today’s increasingly interconnected world, learning Spanish opens up a wealth of opportunities for our students. As the second most widely spoken native language in the world, Spanish enables communication with over 460 million people across 21 countries, including Spain and much of Latin America.

Beyond enriching travel experiences, learning a second language is a highly valued skill in the UK job market—particularly in industries such as business, tourism, and media—enhancing students’ future career prospects. It also strengthens memory, problem-solving, and communication skills, supporting overall academic and personal development.

At Leigh Academy Tonbridge, we aim to make our Spanish curriculum engaging, inspiring, and relevant. Our goal is to bring the rich and diverse culture of the Spanish-speaking world to life in the classroom, fostering both linguistic confidence and cultural understanding.
