Drama is an essential tool for preparing students to live and work in a world that is increasingly team focussed rather than hierarchical.

Drama helps students develop tolerance and empathy. In addition to this, drama helps reinforce other aspects of our school’s curriculum by supporting PHSE topics as well as creative thinking.  Drama helps our students to really understand how the world looks through another person’s eye.

  • Modules 1-2: Introduction to Greek Theatre Techniques to explore Greek Myths and Antigone
  • Modules 3-4: Introduction to Physical Theatre Techniques to explore Bone Sparrow
  • Modules 1-2: Developing Intermediate Physical Theatre to explore the impact of the Hiroshima bombing.
  • Modules 3-4:  Exploring Stock Characters to understand comedy and popular drama
  • Modules 1-2: Introducing Stage Combat to later explore Romeo and Juliet.
  • Modules 3-4: Introducing Shakespearean Theatre Techniques to explore Romeo and Juliet.
