Leigh Academy Tonbridge is celebrating outstanding GCSE results this year, with students achieving record-breaking outcomes across a number of subjects.
This summer has seen the academy’s highest ever number of top grades (8s and 9s), reflecting the hard work and determination of students, supported by dedicated staff. In particular, results in Mathematics have reached record levels, while performance in the individual sciences has been described as “stunning.”
Principal Michael Crow, said:
“We could not be more proud of our students’ achievements this year. Their commitment, resilience and determination have truly paid off, and these results open up exciting opportunities for their futures. Our staff have also gone above and beyond in supporting students throughout their studies, and these outcomes are a testament to that incredible effort.”
As ever, there are many individuals’ performance who should be celebrated but we would like to particularly congratulate the following for their outstanding GCSE results:
- Nathan – Four grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 6s, one grade 5 and one distinction star.
- Tom – Two grade 9s, five grade 8s, one grade 7 and one distinction star.
- Danny – Three grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and one grade 5.
- Achilles – Two grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7 and two grade 6s.
- Riley – Three grade 8s, three grade 7s, two grade 6s and a grade 5
- Ben – Two grade 8s, four grade 7s and three grade 6s
- Ruben – Five grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 5
- Zach – Three grade 8s, four grade 7s, one grade 6 and a grade 5
