In a world where computer technology is constantly changing, individuals will increasingly need to develop their knowledge in the fields of computing, ICT and digital literacy. These skills are now as essential as the traditional skills of numeracy and literacy.

The KS3 ICT curriculum is designed to give a range of knowledge, skills and understanding that will enable students to progress onto Computer science at KS4 and ICT at KS5. It also gives an understanding to ALL pupils of ICT in the workplace, online safety and different levels of coding.

The course brings together knowledge and understanding of ICT which enables the development of practical skills which can be used in the workplace; for example creating social media for a small business. It covers IT systems as well as systems management.
