Contingency Days
JCQ has designated Wednesday 11 June PM and Wednesday 25 June as contingency days. Candidates must be available up to and including the 25 June in case an awarding body needs to invoke its contingency plan.
Ofqual and the DfE have confirmed that if exams are unable to go ahead in Summer 2025, the results of mocks and assessments should be used by teachers, as part of the evidence, when determining grades.

External Candidates
Leigh Academy Tonbridge does not normally accept external candidates, however, in exceptional circumstances we will try to accommodate students who have left the academy, but wish to be entered for an examination that the academy is currently offering. In that instance, please contact the Exams Officer.
Summer 2025 Post Results Information
Results Collection
- AS / A Level – Thursday 14th August 2025 (9am – 10am)
- GCSE – Thursday 21st August 2025 (9am – 10.30am)
If you will be unavailable to collect results due to holidays or work, and would like them to be emailed to you, then you need to follow the process below:
- Email the Exams Officer at exams@latonbridge.org.uk using your own email address (results belong to the candidate so can only be released to them) and state that you would like your results emailed to you.
- The Exams Officer will email with a statement to confirm the email address is correct and that it is your own personal email.
- You will need to reply to confirm the statement is correct.
- The Exams Officer will email out results after midday on results day.
GCSE / A Level Certificates Collection Day Information
Information about the arrangements for results will be posted here nearer the time.
Post Results Service
Information about the services available will be circulated to students’ school email accounts prior to the results days. A copy is also circulated to the email addresses we hold for Parents/Carers. Please note all services have to be applied for by the student.
Appeals and Complaints
Appeals
The School’s Internal Appeals Procedure details our internal assessment decisions and explains the way in which students can appeal against an NEA or against the school’s decision not to support a review of results or an appeal. In all cases The School’s Internal Appeals Form should be submitted.
