GCSE Results Day 2022 – 25th August 2022

A group of six male students are pictured smiling for the camera after having opened their results on GCSE Results Day 2022.

Students, families and staff at Hayesbrook Academy are celebrating record GCSE results this year. Overall, 69% of pupils achieving the benchmark of a 4+ in English and maths and 51% of pupils achieving 5+ in English and maths. These results represent an 18% improvement on 2019 outcomes for 4+ English and maths and a 22% increase on 5+ English and maths. When you consider the impact of disruption during the last two years with time spent both in school and via remote learning it exemplifies the commitment that our pupils, families and staff have put in to achieve these fantastic results. With record results for the Academy there are a number of stand out grades, including 17 grade 9s across a number of subjects. Students who study vocational subjects performed equally well with 49% of pupils achieving at least a distinction in business and 46% in sport. We recognise all of the pupils and their results in this figure including some of our top performers listed below.
